The functions of a church choir:

Many opportunities exist for solos and small ensembles to share music in worship. You are invited to sing or play and make music with the ensembles of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Together we worship and praise God through our music.

Why sing or play at church?
Research shows:

  • Singing releases the same brain chemicals as eating chocolate.
  • Singing strengthens the immune system.
  • Choral singers rated their satisfaction with life higher than the general public.
  • Instrumentalists agree!

Most importantly, music is given by God and used in worship to proclaim the word of God. Music ensembles at OSLC become spiritual small groups. Join one.
