Mission of the Month: Annie’s Locker

“Inspiring and equipping people to lead healthier lives.”

For many years, Annie’s Locker has partnered with the Rockford Public Schools with their Share A Pair program. They have equipped more than 2,000 students with athletic shoes and socks, and strengthened kids’ confidence and self-esteem!

In the spring, they invited nonprofit organizations who work with underserved individuals in our community to apply for Share A Pair assistance so they can implement a fitness plan within their organization. With our assistance, we will be supporting the vision of improved physical fitness that can have a positive impact on all areas of people’s lives.

This year’s Share A Pair Campaign supports the following local organizations:

  • Youth Against Violence Organization
  • Girls on the Run
  • Rockford Day Nursery
  • Windsor Elementary School “Well Wasps”

You can support this campaign with a financial contribution or by bringing in new (or very gently-used) athletic shoes and new socks in kid sizes. Visit www.annieslocker.org for more information.
