Mission of the Month: Annie’s Locker

“Inspiring and equipping people to lead healthier lives.”

For many years, Annie’s Locker has partnered with the Rockford Public Schools with their Share A Pair program. They have equipped more than 2,000 students with athletic shoes and socks, and strengthened kids’ confidence and self-esteem!

In the spring, they invited nonprofit organizations who work with underserved individuals in our community to apply for Share A Pair assistance so they can implement a fitness plan within their organization. With our assistance, we will be supporting the vision of improved physical fitness that can have a positive impact on all areas of people’s lives.

This year’s Share A Pair Campaign supports the following local organizations:

  • Youth Against Violence Organization
  • Girls on the Run
  • Rockford Day Nursery
  • Windsor Elementary School “Well Wasps”

Reverse Offering

A huge THANK YOU to our OSLC family who contributed to September’s reverse food offering. A total of 1,125 lbs of food was donated to the Rock River Valley Pantry, including 79 lbs for Kibble Korner.

Rockford Promise
May’s Mission of the Month was Rockford Promise, a location-based scholarship program for low-income students. We collected $945 for this mission partner. For more information on this organization, visit rockfordpromise.org.

21,000 meals purchased & packaged for Kids Around The World
4,565 pounds of food delivered to the Rock River Valley Food Pantry (RRVFP)
$842.45 raised through the Souper Bowl of Caring for RRVFP
400 meals (approx.) packaged & delivered to the Rockford Rescue Mission
271 jars of peanut butter (and 2 jars of jelly) collected for the RRVFP
