Make a Gift

Make a Donation
Our Savior’s Lutheran Church’s (OSLC) online donations are processed through Vanco Services. We have been using this service provider for a number of years to process our Simply Giving contributions. Your online giving activity is secure and can be a one-time gift or you may set up regularly scheduled donations. Please click on the “make a donation” button below to process your gift(s) to OSLC. You will need to set up your profile and password to be able to make a transaction. You will have the option to choose how you want your gift applied toward our ministries.

These online donations will work just like any other form of donation (for example, donations via cash or check) and will be tax deductible as long as proper contact information (Name and Address) are given with your donation. You will receive your contribution statements from the church office periodically.

Estate Gifts Update

September 2017

Members and friends, the Estate Gifts Task Force wants to thank everyone who attended the forum in June and provided great discussion and input. Below is the list that was generated during our time together. Since then we have received additional input that will also be considered as we move forward.

We give thanks to God for the faithfulness and generosity of John Cotton, Helena Ritter and Dorothy Stuller and their gifts to Our Savior’s. The total amount expected from these three estates is $237,500, most of which has now been received.

The Task Force has met again to continue the discernment process. Our goal is to listen and follow God’s leading throughout our work together. Another forum is scheduled for Sunday, October 1 following the late service for anyone who was unable to attend the June forum.

In the meantime, if you have any other ideas you would like to put forward for consideration, please contact any of the Task Force members – Gary Randles, Greg Peet, Jeff Schneider, Rick Nicholson and Pastor Jeff. We invite your prayers that these gifts be used according to God’s will as we live into being a blessed church.

  1. Portico/main entry cover
  2. 10% tithe, consider 20%
  3. Internal use/External giving – separate funds between these uses
  4. Endowment/Current giving (long term and short term)
  5. Gifts for kids camp – support sending kids/youth/families, musicians to camp(s), OSLC or community
  6. Save half of the funds
  7. Expand Maud Johnson mission outreach
  8. Contingency fund
  9. Lutheran World Relief – instead of 10% give 20% (see also #2 above)
  10. Bring young people (families) into the congregation
  11. Electronic message board signs, (1) each on Rural and Guilford – signs are $18K each
  12. LSSI – donation – reportedly an important outreach to both John Cotton and Helena Ritter
  13. Habitat for Humanity – sponsor house near church
  14. Leave lasting memorial
  15. Valet service – to help seniors get in and out of church particularly during bad weather (see also #1 above)
  16. Daycare for seniors – maybe have seniors work with children
  17. Pre-school daycare – expand programming
  18. Endowment to cover cost of musician needs for services
  19. Sponsor a family in the community – perhaps from New Towne. Be a good neighbor and assist in any way we can.
  20. Get input from younger families. Social media was suggested. Maybe offer another estate gifts forum after a 10:45 service or integrated into the end of the service.
